I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
